AmMex Gold Mining Corporation has announced that it has begun an initial exploratory programme at its project in the north-west Sonora region of Mexico.

The Tiliche project contains a concession called Rey Midas which AmMex Gold Mining Corporation has just discovered as containing gold and silver mineralisation.

Among the parts containing bulk tonnage mineralisation are Aidee which has quartz veins showing specular hematite cut granite rocks and this occurs over a wide area.

The Panchita area shows intense stock work quartz veinlets with minor pyrite and it covers a large area. It has already been mapped and sampled by the firm with results anticipated within the next fortnight.

Finally the San Filipe area has already seen extensive work following the discovery of gold there in the 1960s. It still hasn't been sampled as the current owner is travelling and uncontactable although sources say a site visit is planned soon.

AmMex Gold Mining Corporation is developing this Mexican project plus two others in Nevada and is interested in acquiring other projects around the world.
