Tuesday, 24th April 2007 (3097 views) Cornerstone Capital Resources has announced the acquisition of a brand new gold project in south-eastern Newfoundland. The Burin gold project is located on the Burin Peninsula and it is made up of around 865 mineral claims covering a total surface area of 216.25 square kilometres. Containing several gold prospects and showings, the Bruin gold project's primary target is an epithermal-style gold mineralised zone. It is very similar to a 1.6-million ounce project called the Hope Brook gold deposit, which is now exhausted. Three large gold-bearing alteration zones also exist on the site and they cover an area of over ten square kilometres which is also marked in its similarity to the terrain of the Hope Brook site. Cornerstone Capital Resources also owns projects in Ecuador, others in Newfoundland plus Labrador and New Brunswick. It also has a diversified portfolio of silver, copper, nickel and uranium properties.
