Sienna reports on Igor drill workThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Thursday, 26th April 2007 (5368 views) Sienna Gold has announced its latest results from drilling at its Igor property.Nine holes have been made on the Domo part of the property where there is significant gold and silver mineralisation in bedded sections. The holes were made in a grid formation which measured 50 metres by 100 metres and samplings have been geochemically analysed. Soil, trench and rock sampling programmes were all undertaken at the project following the dioscvery in 2006 of some classic porphyry style alteration which indicated gold. Now the firm believes there is a gold presence over a strike length of two kilometres with an average grade of 1.2 grams of gold per tonne. Another 15 metre interval has grades of 2.2 grams of gold per tonne. Now the firm is pressing forward with even more soil, trench and rock sampling with a view to filling in data gaps and extending mineralisation. It has drill permits ready to go and the geochemical anomalies are expected to be tested within three months with results reported immediately.
