The legacy continues for Rainy RiverFriday, 18th May 2007 (2087 views) Rainy River Resources has announced that it has intersected some top gold grades at its project in the Richardson Township in north-western Ontario.Located just 80 kilometres south of Kenora, the project has three drill rigs currently on it and a total of 28 holes have so far been made. These come to a total of 11,546 metres with results currently being analysed for them. Work is centred on the 17 Golf Trend which is three kilometres long and already a nine metre interval with a grade of 81.52 grams of gold per tonne has been found here. Nelson Baker, the president of Rainy River Resources, said: "This high grade gold intersection stratigraphically north of much of our focus over the past two years graphically demonstrates how much potential this project has to host more than one gold deposit." Another good intersection was a 28.8 metre strike length with a grade of 5.19 grams of gold per tonne. Rainy River was started by prospector Walter Baker in the 1920s and now his son Norman continues the legacy.
