Seabridge begins drilling at Noche BuenaThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Wednesday, 23rd May 2007 (2818 views) Seabridge Gold has announced that drilling has begun at its Noche Buena project which is in the Sonora region of Mexico. The firm has employed the Layne Christiansen company to begin work on the 10,000 metre reverse-circulation drill programme which has been designed to expand the gold resource at the site. The firm will test at least three targets within and adjacent to the existing deposits which is just 55 kilometres from the city of Caborca which has geological terrain suited to hosting several large gold deposits. An extensive revaluation for the value of Noche Buena has begun and three concepts have been prioritised for work on the current programme. Past operators limited their depth of drilling to 125 metres so the firm wants to go to 300 metres to reap more gold. It will also be fully delineated because the firm believes strike length has not been fully tested and there is more scope for mineralised intersections. And finally the firm also has an objective to complete this work before June and then the results from the project will be intercepted into a revised resource model expected in the third quarter of 2007.
