'Favorable project economics' from Vista studyThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Friday, 22nd June 2007 (5319 views) Vista Gold has released the results of its pre-feasibility study on the Paredones Amarillos gold project in Mexico.According to the gold exploration company, the original 2005 study was originally completed by independent consulting firm Mine Development Associates of Reno, Nevada. "While costs have increased in the two years since the original study was prepared, these increases have been more than offset by the gold price increase. We believe that the results of the study are clearly favourable and give us the necessary encouragement to continue our investments," commented Mike Richings, president of Vista. The Paredones Amarillos project contains 1.9 million ounces of measured and indicated gold resources and 140,000 ounces of inferred gold resources, the company reveals. Vista also has another property in Mexico, Guadalupe de los Reyes, which is located in the Sierra Madre Range and which contains inferred resources of 248,000 gold ounces. The company also has gold mines in North America, Australia, Indonesia and Bolivia.
