Ben Roberts of Clogau Gold - whose gold is sourced from local Snowdonia - commented that there were several factors behind the jeweller's decision to sponsor the event, noting that Wales is its strongest market. Meanwhile, the newspaper reports that singer Bryn Terfel has an historic association with the jeweller after Clogau Gold fashioned him a special Welsh gold daffodil pin, which the baritone wears at his concerts. "I treasure my special Clogau Gold daffodil pin - it appears with me on every concert platform, and everywhere I go, people ask about it," he told the Western Mail.
