Tuesday, 24th July 2007 (1822 views) The Odyssey Marine Exploration ship detained by Spanish authorities has left the country's waters, it has emerged.Seized on July 12th by the European country as part of an investigation into the gold and silver coins found by the US explorer in a shipwreck earlier this year, the vessel left Spanish waters the day after its release, reports the Associated Press (AP). The location of the ship, codenamed Black Swan, has not been disclosed by Odyssey Marine Exploration. At the time of the discovery, Spanish culture minister Carmen Calvo commented that "what was ours will be returned to Spain". Greg Stemm, who co-founded the exploration company with John Morris in 1994, told AP that the firm has "bent over backward" to communicate with the country's authorities about its movements. Aladar Nesser, Odyssey's director of international relations, told the news provider the situation has been "frustrating".
