"I am personally committed to this initiative because of the many benefits it provides for our stakeholders, our sector and the natural environment," Fred Stanford, president of Ontario Operations for CVRD Inco told the OMA. "It will be a very visible symbol of our values related to our shared concern for the safety and health in our communities." Projects to be pursued under the scheme are jointly selected by the OMA and the MNDM. The next project is the former Kam Kotia site in the Timmins area of Ontario. The OMA was established in 1920 to represent mining activity in the province.
