All 35 holes completed during the most recent round of diamond drilling on the Dachang Gold project in China have intersected gold mineralisation, according to Inter-Citic Minerals.

The company currently has four diamond drills on the gold mining site, two of which are working in new discovery areas.

Another two drill rigs are conducting infill work on an area of known resource potential, where recovery thus far has exceeded 90 per cent.

"We continue to be pleased with both the drilling to extend our current resource area, as well as the results we are receiving as part of our infill drilling programme," said Garth Pierce, vice-president of exploration at Inter-Citic.

Mr Pierce added that the company has noted that it is "routinely" intersecting zones of mineralisation near the surface of target areas on the site, which is situated in the Qinghai region of the country.

A gold exploration company focused on resource expansion in China, Inter-Citic Minerals is currently developing two gold projects – Dachange and Zalantun.
