'Underground potential' in northern Ontario

Monday, 26th November 2007 (1760 views)

Following the results of a number of analysis samples at the Dog Lake project near Wawa, Ontario, Core International has said it has "just begun to scratch the surface" of the gold potential at the site.

A final field report for the site is expected to be released before the end of December 2007, which is hoped to be a step forward for determining the gold potential of the property, according to Jan Vrba, chief executive officer of the company.

"One needs to understand that assay results, specifically soil sample assays, don't come close to telling the whole story, especially at this stage of development," he said.

He added that the initial report will be one of a series of checks and balances the company will undertake to define gold resources on the property, which is located in the mineral-rich Canadian Shield.

A petroleum management and mineral exploration company, Core International is part of a joint venture agreement for interest in mineral rights at the Dog Lake project.
