New gold zone discovered in Montana

Monday, 26th November 2007 (1842 views)

A new zone of gold mineralisation has been discovered at the Montana-based Tamarack Mine project, Millstream Mines has reported.

The area was discovered when a segment of ground near a newly-excavated portion of the property gave way, revealing an exposed zone of mineralisation which has yielded a channel sample result of 28.8 grams of gold per tonne.

A bulk sampling operation is currently underway at the mining property, which is located in Madison County's Tobacco Root Mountains.

According to the company, construction on an onsite assay laboratory and a furnace which will be used for pouring gold bars is expected to be finished in the near future. A mill, which has the capability to produce 100 tonnes per day, has also been refurbished on the site.

Millstream Mines currently has a number of mineral resource exploration projects underway in Canada and the US, including the Tamarack and Uncle Sam gold properties in Montana and the Koval Property in Ontario, which contains high-grade gold prospects.
