Tuesday, 27th November 2007 (1724 views) Attorneys involved in Odyssey Marine Exploration's dispute with Spain over the gold treasure discovered in a shipwreck earlier this year have been told to share information.A US judge said that a deal would need to be worked out in order for the location of the shipwreck - until now undisclosed by the American treasure hunting company - can be determined. Spain has demanded that Odyssey prove that the shipwreck was not discovered in Spanish national waters - which would make the hundreds of gold coins and more than 500,000 silver coins discovered in the wreck Spanish property. Magistrate judge Mark Pizzo said that a confidentiality agreement would need to be drawn up to enable details to be disclosed to officials without the information being made public. Each party has been advised to inform the Tampa court by January 10th 2008 if an agreement has been reached. "The message was loud and clear in the courtroom today that they've got to start revealing the information that we've been asking them to provide," the Spanish government's attorney James Goold told the Associated Press.
