A total of three target areas have been identified at the Carol project through a follow-up sampling operation on the property, according to Yale Resources.

The project, which is located in the southern part of Mexico's Sonora state, contains a six-metre long area of significant mineralisation, with a gold grade of 2.26 grams per tonne.

Sampling also identified gold values in two separate areas within the site's Balde South skarn zone, the company reported, with potential to expand the zone of mineralisation further to the east.

Comprising six mining claims on 758.14 hectares of land, the Carol property is situated 20 kilometres north of the Mexican city of Alamos.

Following further drilling and trenching operations at the site, it is expected that the Carol property will begin commercial production during 2007.

A junior resource exploration company, Yale Resources currently owns four mining projects in South America – the Carol property, the Zacatecas Venture, the Urique Property and the La Verde Project.
