A bazaar that is one of the liveliest places to be during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is set to offer a wide range of gold items next year.

From January 24th to February 24th, visitors to the emirate can experience the event when a range of shopping opportunities and entertainment are on offer.

According to What's On When, The Gold Souq at Sikkat al-Khali is one of Dubai's most well-known retail areas where the small streets literally sparkle with all types of gold jewellery available to buy.

The Souq includes around 275 outlets where shoppers can indulge in some beautiful earrings, necklaces or bracelets.

Items of 18, 21 and 22 carats are all tempting pieces and each is sold according to weight.

The travel guide states that this shopping experience is one of the "most atmospheric" and is one of many delights the region has to offer.

The DSF was first held in 1996 and, according to the official site, the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group plays a "key role" in defining the city's shopping trends.
