Tuesday, 29th January 2008 (2620 views) Preparations for a feasibility study are being undertaken by Metals Exploration at Runruno in the Philippines, it has emerged.In what will provide the basis for such a project during the second half of 2008, Metals Exploration is currently launching a scoping study at Runruno that will report in the summer, reports Thomson Financial. This gold study will test the variability of the resource and determine drilling requirements, the article revealed. Metals Exploration has recruited a new project director, Ian Holzberger, to manage the initiative in the Philippines, the news provider added. In December 2006, the Runruno resource was increased to two metres per ounce of gold, according to the group's website. Founded to explore the knowledge of mineralisation in the Philippines, Metals Exploration was launched by Peter Draper and Gary Powell in April 2004. The venture followed Mr Draper's experience at a drilling company which carried out projects in the region and Mr Powell's profession as a geologist and previous experience as manager of Australian company Egerton Gold, the Metals Exploration website notes.
