Friday, 25th April 2008 (2658 views) A deep exploration drilling programme at the Cline Lake property in Ontario, Canada, has extended its known mineralisation and encountered two new potential gold targets, according to the company that carried out the work.Cline Mining said 20 holes were originally completed totalling 12,488.7 metres to test the depth of previously identified gold-bearing zones. Results from these areas include gold grades of 9.94 g/t gold over 2.6 metres and 8.91 g/t gold over 3.7 metres. This drilling also intersected the two new potential zones, designated as 07-10 and 08-28. A follow-up campaign comprising 14 holes was carried out in these areas, with results including 57.96 g/t gold over 0.8 metres and 12.62 g/t gold over 0.9 metres in 07-10, as well as 34.90 g/t gold over 4.66 metres from 08-28. Cline has now started work on an infill sampling of the drill core in and around these intercepts, it said. Cline Lake is located on the Goudreau Lake deformation zone, a major regional gold-bearing system. A total of four shafts already exist at the property, the deepest of which stretches to 355.09 metres.
