Jewellery featuring gold, diamonds and other precious gems are on display at Bulgari's new boutique in Kuala Lumpur.

A Melone evening clutch made of 18-carat gold and decorated with antique silver coins and diamonds is among the priceless objects on display, the Star Online reports.

Also included are some items with celebrity appeal, such as a necklace and earrings worn by Keira Knightley to the 2006 Oscars.

These baubles were originally created for the Shah of Iran and are adorned with diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies.

An example of Bulgari's famous diamond-encrusted snake bracelet watch is also on show.

Fans of gold and gems may also be interested in shopping at the brand-new boutique, which boasts two floors - one dedicated to accessories and another to jewellery and watches.

The first Bulgari shop opened in Rome on Via Condotti in 1884.
