Tennis ace Serena Williams drew attention at the pre-Wimbledon party this week in a gold bracelet.

Crafted from white gold and studded with gems, Williams paired the bracelet with a necklace and matching earrings, reports the Press Association.

"The American powerhouse was looking sultry, with her hair in a bun covered in diamonds, and a figure-hugging black and white dress designed by Matthew Williamson," the news organisation revealed.

Hairdresser to the stars Stuart Phillips and jeweller Neil Duttson - also known as the Rock Doctor - were reportedly the brains behind the sportswoman's look.

Also present at the party were world number one Ana Ivanovic, who wore a black dress, and former world number one Maria Sharapova, whose outfit was grey.

Ivanovic told the news provider of her desire to win the tournament this year, commenting that she liked the traditions associated with the event.

The 2008 Wimbledon Championships commence on June 23rd and run until July 6th.
