Tuesday, 24th June 2008 (1208 views) Duncastle Gold Corporation has announced the start of drilling at the Yankee-Dundee property in the south-east of British Columbia.Around 3,000 metres of core drilling will take place at the site over two phases, according to the mining company. Reports from a survey of the Yukon shoot at the property last year found a grade of 4.6 g/t of gold across 6.72 metres and 2.3 g/t of gold across 8.68 metres. The Yankee Girl vein at the site reported, in the 2007 survey, a grade of six g/t of gold across 1.54 metres and a grade of 5.17 g/t of gold across 1.23 metres. "The Yankee-Dundee project comprises 26 crown grants under a 100 per cent option agreement and owns 89 tenured mineral claims totalling approximately 5,376 hectares in the Nelson Mining District," Duncastle Gold said. Duncastle Gold is based in British Columbia, Canada and is part of the Manex Resources Group.
