Wednesday, 25th June 2008 (953 views) Maria Sharapova's clothing sponsor, Nike, has crafted a new Wimbledon look for the Russian sports professional.The Tennis star is to participate in the tournament wearing a new look inspired by men's tailoring. A two-piece warm up suit will feature gold stitching, while shorts and a tuxedo bib front form her outfit during the game. "I'm changing it up this year," she commented. "I'm going with the traditional shorts, believe it or not." The look is intended to pay homage to "London's rich history in tailoring", according to its creator. Having never worn shorts at Wimbledon before, Sharapova explained she was adopting a look more commonly associated with men at the British competition. A pair of drop earrings worth £2,500 give the outfit a touch of glamour. Winner of three Grand Slam singles titles, the player is ranked world number two and won the Wimbledon final in 2004, defeating Serena Williams.
