Gold-embroidered coat at Lagerfield Chanel showThursday, 3rd July 2008 (442 views) A gold-embroidered coat was on display at the recent Chanel Paris show, it has emerged.The New York Times reports that Karl Lagerfield's range for the company was inspired by organ music, with pleats representing flutes and bellows inspiring puffed sleeves. According to the publication: "A gold-embroidered coat overlaid with black strips of fabric in a chevron pattern could have been taken from the ornate wood front of an organ." The Chanel haute couture show took place at the Glass Palais on Tuesday. In related news, Prada has announced a new service that offers men and women bespoke belts in a variety of materials, studded with a gem-covered gold belt. Karl Lagerfield was born in Hamburg, Germany and has collaborated with labels such as Chloe and Fendi, as well as Chanel, during his career as a designer. Lagerfield also owns a number of labels and has collaborated with the high-street brand H&M.
