Tuesday, 26th August 2008 (2738 views) Jewellery store and designer Tanishq has won four categories at the Retail Jewellery India Award 2008.Including in the prizes was the Gold Vivaha Jewellery award for its product portfolio promoting gold jewellery design. Tanishq also won the Retail Chain of the Year - it has 112 boutiques in 75 cities in India - the 360 Degrees Marketing Campaign of the Year and the TV Campaign of the Year. According to the website, the Retail Jewellery India Award "is considered the helm of judging the best in the Indian gem and jewellery industry". Over 300,000 retailers and 10,000 jewellery manufacturers took part in the awards. These included CKC-Bangalore, Prince Jewellery, Joy Alukkas, Notandas, Anmol, Minawala, Nirvana, Gili, Damas, Punjab Jewellers and Punjabi Saraf. Tanishq began in 1995 and is the jewellery group of Titan Industries. It provides a range of 22-karat pure gold jewellery for babies, high fashion, casual work wear for women, men's designs and a collection for teenagers.
