Investors should look to invest in American Eagle gold coins, it has been suggested.

According to ArticleXplosion.com, this type of precious metal is a popular choice for gold investors and is widely available to purchase.

This information is of particular importance in the current climate as the current economic slowdown means more people are likely to invest in precious goods, the website noted.

The coins were recognised as official gold bullion in 1895 by the US authorities and introduced into the market a year later.
