The Matheson AA auction of fine art and antiques is set to go ahead in Florida on September 27th.

Included in the auction will be 250 lots of jewellery, art, furniture and clocks.

Of the 100 jewellery pieces will be two Patek Phillipe 18-karat gold watches, an expandable 18-karat gold necklace and a gold ring.

Action co-owner and 33-year veteran auctioneer Lloyd Matheson Junior will call the event.

Also up for grabs will be an early 20th century Teco vase created by Frank Albert.

Mr Matheson said there are only six examples of this vase known in the world and it has an estimated value of between $40,000 (£21,855) and $60,000.

Meanwhile, in another auction held in the UK, a piece of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding cake has been sold for £1,200 this week.

The 27-year-old slice was one of the 22 pieces of cake distributed to royal staff following the wedding reception.
