Q-Gold Resources has provided an update on its recent activities.

It revealed that eight underground samples from the 'jumbo' vein discovered at the de-watered level of its Foley mine in Ontario have been sent for analysis to determine their gold content.

Assay results are pending and are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The de-watering programme at the mine has been put on hold while the company awaits new equipment that is required for the depth it is working at. The firm stated that it will update shareholders on any progress once operations resume.

In addition, earlier this month it held its annual general meeting in Calgary. All matters that were submitted for vote passed.

However, Henry Meixner revealed that he was resigning from the board of directors. This now consists of five members.

Meanwhile, Gammon Gold has announced that it has received approval to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange.
