Thursday, 23rd October 2008 (991 views) Seabridge Gold has announced that results from the Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell (KSM) project in British Columbia have "exceeded expectations".Nine holes drilled over the summer have extended the known resource area and confirmed the firm's geological model. Significant results included 0.65 g/t gold over 195.3 metres, 0.67 g/t gold over 140.8 metres, 0.74 g/t gold over 460.4 metres and 0.79 g/t gold over 240.2 metres. President and chief executive officer Rudi Fronk said that the company will now expand its model to incorporate the extended high-grade zone. "In addition, the success of our infill program should mean a significant conversion of inferred resources into the measured and indicated category," he added. Meanwhile, Silver Standard Resources has outlined a new gold-bearing zone at the Snowfield project, located 40km north of Stewart, British Columbia. One hole intersected 0.75 g/t gold over 620 metres and another returned 0.95 g/t gold over 425 metres.
