Monday, 27th October 2008 (918 views) DRDGold has stated that it has maintained gold production levels over the quarter to the end of September this year.Revenue dipped slightly over the quarter, while gold production remained steady at 70,861 ounces and the mining business purchased a further 15 per cent stake in the Elsburg joint venture. According to the company's latest figures, cash operating costs have risen slightly, affecting operating profit, but gold production levels at the DRDGold Crown surface retreatment operation increased by 11 per cent during the three months to 23,985 ounces. John Sayers, DRDGold chief executive, insists that the current outlook for the company remains good and he plans to concentrate on the three vital areas of cost control, risk management and margins over the next year. South African firm DRDGold has witnessed slight dips in production at its Blyvooruitzicht and ERPM mines but has reported headline earnings per share of 10.5 cents.
