A jewellery firm has launched a new line of necklaces and has pledged to donate ten per cent of the proceeds to a charitable cause.

My Stone Company, which manufactures the Friendship Stone necklaces, will give the money to help improve the quality of life of villagers in west South Africa, where it sources its materials from.

The new ranges are available in 14-c gold for males or females and are designed to represent affection, support and appreciation for friends or loved ones.

Founder Cathy Raff described the collection as "the ideal give-back gift that ensures that the bond of love and friendship is literally 'close to the heart'.

"Just like each relationship, every Friendship Stone necklace is unique and irreplaceable," she added.

Meanwhile, Joseph Schubach Jewellers has introduced a new service in which clients can customise their engagement ring.

The rings are on offer in 18-c yellow or white gold in both contemporary and classic styles, the company revealed.
