Tuesday, 24th February 2009 (952 views) Alexandria Minerals has revealed that it has expanded the Sleepy zone at its Cadillac Break property in Quebec.The Sleepy zone is part of a group of properties owned by the firm at Val d'Or and Alexandria is continuing to expand the gold zone at depth. An 11.9m intersection at a grading of 4.03 g/t gold included 3.25m at 6.68 g/t gold. Diamond drill hole IAX-09-49 intersected 7.95m grading 3.55 g/t gold in May 2008 confirming continuation of strong gold mineralisation at a vertical depth of 300m and a follow up hole is currently being drilled to test the hole further. Alexandria Minerals acquired the Cadillac Break gold-pyrite property from Cambior in 2007 and has since enlarged the Sleepy zone over four times, with a 3,000m drilling programme currently underway on the project. Based in Toronto, Alexandria Minerals is a mineral exploration and development company with mineral properties in northern Ontario and Quebec.
