Troymet Exploration has reported the results of its 2008 diamond drilling and prospecting programme at its Golden Eagle project in north-west British Columbia.

Results of the exploration programme at the wholly-owned prospect indicate the presence of a large intrusion-related gold system.

According to Troymet Exploration, the gold system spans around 12km strike length at the northern half of the Golden Eagle property and the firm now believes that a bulk-tonnage gold deposit is present in the area.

The firm has only drilled a limited portion of the Tannis zone to date and plans to conduct deeper drilling in the area.

Highlights of the drilling programme include 5.09m intersected at 7.93 g/t gold and 23.8 g/t gold, as well as 4.3m at 2.05 g/t gold and 43.8 g/t gold.

Based in Comox, British Columbia, Troymet Exploration is focused on the Golden Eagle project which has a number of potentially large precious metal deposits and high-grade gold mineralisation over significant widths.
