Wednesday, 25th February 2009 (816 views) An Aston Martin DB7 painted with 24-c gold is to go up for auction in the UK next month, it has been announced. The car, which used to belong to the Italian Prince Rupoli, is to be made available at the Race Retro event in Coventry on March 14th. It is believed the custom paint job on the 14-year-old car cost the former owner approximately £150,000, with H & H auctions, which is organising the sale, setting a guide price of between £45,000 and £55,000. This is the second time this month that a gold car has been put up for auction. Earlier in February it was announced that a gold-decorated car owned by Michael Jackson is to go under the hammer. The interior of the 1999 Rolls-Royce Limo, which is expected to fetch approximately $140,000 (£98,000) when it is put up for sale at an event in Beverly Hills in April, is adorned in 24-c gold.
