President of the organisation R Vaidyanadhan stated that competition in the market has increased, due to a new generation of investors showing interest in purchasing coins. "The cost of a 7.5 gram gold coin of the Vijayanagara Empire was around Rs 10,000 (£136.50) to Rs 15,000 fifteen years ago and today it is around Rs 1.50 lakh," he told the news source, adding that the price of examples from the Kushana period has also risen.
