Tuesday, 24th March 2009 (740 views) Gold produced in Turkmenistan has gone on display at an exhibition in the Russian capital, Moscow.The event, titled, 'Textile, carpet and jewellery products of Turkmenistan - 2009' showcases a number of jewellery products produced from the precious metal to a number of high profile guests, the Turkmenistan newspaper reports Attending the exhibition, which took place at Moscow's Expocenter, were the deputy prime ministers from Turkmenistan and Russia Rashid Meredov and Victor Zubkov, who also co-chair the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission for trade-economic cooperation. Mr Meredov stated that the event will help to stimulate growth in trade between the two countries, as well as improve relations between businesses based in each of the nations. Gold was recently on show at the Istanbul Jewellery Show, which saw around 1,000 companies showcase the latest trends in the jewellery market to over 30,000 designers, producers and retailers from around the world, Today's Zaman reports.
