Monday, 30th March 2009 (3358 views) The uncovering of "classic VMS-style" gold mineralisation by Rainy River Resources in Richardson Township, Minnesota has been described as an "important event" for the firm.An interval totalling 2.1 metres returned gold grades of 5.73 g/t Au at the location, the company has revealed. In addition, other notable results from the project include 1.68 g/t Au over 52.5 metres, 26.66 g/t Au over 1.5 metres and 1.98 g/t Au over 13 metres. The firm has allocated three drilling rigs to the township, two of which are focusing on exploring a gold discovery unveiled by the organisation earlier this month. It noted that "wide areas of impressive gold mineralisation" continue to be found at the site. Meanwhile, Samex Mining Corporation has revealed that it is to resume operations at the Los Zorros gold prospect in Chile. During previous work, the company located high-quality deposits in the Nora and Cinchado target areas.
