Monday, 30th March 2009 (610 views) Over 450 jewellers and craftsmen are to be displaying their products at this year's MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show in Sharajah, it has been announced.Producers of gold products will be among those showcasing their designs at the event, which is talking place on April 7th-11th at the Expo Centre Sharjah, AME Info reports. Director-general of the event's venue Saif Mohammed Al Midfa told the news source that it is "quite natural" for people to want to invest in gold during the current economic climate. "Those who value the yellow metal and at the same time appreciate its charm and beauty [will] opt for jewellery," he told the news source, adding that "hardcore" investors are likely to opt for coins and bars made from the precious metal. A similar event recently took place in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, where over 60 companies gathered at the Hilton hotel to exhibit their products at the Hilton hotel, the Saudi Gazette reports.
