Thursday, 23rd April 2009 (699 views) First Gold Exploration has discovered a new conductor in the northern portion of its jointly owned Matchi-Manitou project in Canada. The conductor was identified by a 28km InfiniTEM survey along the northern boundary of the prospect and appears open to the north-west, outside the area covered by the property. Located east of Val-d'Or and north of the First Gold Croinor gold project, the Matchi-Manitou property hosts a volcanogenic massive sulphide prospect. As a result of the survey, First Gold Exploration has decided to stake five claims that cover the extension of the conductor. Based in Laval, Quebec, mineral exploration company First Gold Exploration is listed on the TSX Venture and Frankfurt stock exchanges and was formed in late 2006. The firm is focused on putting its Croinor gold project into production in order to become a junior gold producer with an annual output of 25,000 to 30,000 ounces of gold.
