Thursday, 23rd April 2009 (820 views) British Columbia World Ventures has signed a new joint venture agreement with Kelward Overseas for the exploration and the development of its Lapon Canyon gold property.The Lapon Canyon gold project is located in Mineral County, Nevada and historical work has indicated the potential for "both high-grade and disseminated gold deposits" on the prospect. Under the terms of the joint venture agreement, Kelward will provide joint venture funding of $750,000 (£516,000) in order to earn a 50 per cent interest in the Lapon Canyon property, with a 20 per cent interest earned through an initial investment in the project of $100,000. Based in British Columbia and founded more than 25 years ago, exploration British Columbia World Ventures has gold projects in Canada and the US. In related news, Great Basin Gold has published the results of an exploration drilling programme at its Hollister property in Nevada and claims to have encountered "bonanza" gold grades at the prospect during the first quarter of 2009.
