Monday, 27th April 2009 (679 views) Mineral Deposits has reported that it has ramped up "smoothly" to full production levels at its Sabodala gold project.Since operations at the property commenced in late March, the process plant has completed agreed engineering performance trials satisfactorily. The process and power plants have not experienced any "significant operational performance issues" and an operational team of around 460 people is expected to operate the site. Mineral Deposits stated that it wished to "acknowledge the enormous effort of all involved from the many contractor companies in bringing this project to production in less than four years from the first drill hole". Located in Senegal, the Sabodala gold project is home to a two million tonne per annum process plant and production for April is expected to reach 300,000 ounces. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Mineral Deposits is currently focused in Senegal, west Africa and produced the first gold bars at the Sabodala plant last month.
