Tuesday, 28th April 2009 (1439 views) Emaar Properties has launched the Festival@The Dubai Mall, which will promote gold jewellery.Running from April 30th to May 29th, the month-long shopping and leisure event will feature entertainment, promotions and raffle draws and celebrates the theme '30 Days, Many Ways'. The Dubai Mall, which opened in November 2008, is home to more than 900 stores, including a gold souk with around 200 gold and jewellery outlets. Ahmad Al Matrooshi, UAE managing director for Emaar Properties, said: "The festival is being promoted across the GCC region and larger Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Iran to ensure wide-scale participation." Entertainment during the festival will include musicians, magicians, skating shows, celebrity appearances and jugglers. Middle Eastern jeweller Damas recently unveiled an 18-c luxury gold watch for women by Jaquet Droz, L'Heure Celeste, part of the Hommage Paris 1785 series. The timepiece features gold planets and is housed in a 41mm gold watchcase with a 68-hour power reserve.
