Midland Exploration has reported that it has intercepted high-grade gold on its Maritime Cadillac property in Quebec.

The company said that it had abtained "new and very promising results" from the property, which is wholly-owned by Midland subject to an option agreement with Agnico-Eagle Mines.

Midland Exploration reported that highlights of the latest drilling programme included 18.5 g/t gold over 1.0m, 1.1 g/t gold over 25.9m, 1.9 g/t gold over 11m and 1.5 g/t gold over 3.2m.

The Maritime Cadillac is contiguous to the Lapa gold mine property, which has proven and probable reserves of 1.061 million ounces of gold and is scheduled to enter production this year.

Montreal-based Midland Exploration is a mineral exploration company focused on Quebec, Canada and listed on the TSX Venture exchange.

The firm targets mineral projects in Quebec and works with partners to develop new opportunities in the region in order to increase its portfolio.
