Thursday, 28th May 2009 (704 views) Treasury Metals has revealed that exploration at its gold mining site in Ontario, Canada is resuming.More than one million ounces of the precious metal are thought to be present at the Goliath Gold Project, which is wholly-owned by the company. Treasury carried out over 13,000 metres of drilling in 2008 and is now set to conduct further exploration at the site, with president and chief executive Scott Jobin-Bevans stating that it has "strong potential". "We are eager to get back on the ground exploring this exciting property now that we have a much better understanding of the gold mineralisation," he added. Other current Treasury Metals operations include the Lara Project, which is situated in the southern part of Vancouver Island. The company has invested heavily in exploration work at the site over the last three years and is currently seeking joint-venture opportunities for it.
