Wednesday, 24th June 2009 (967 views) An event celebrating gold jewellery has begun in the Indian city of Bangalore.The Grand Necklace Festival, which has been organised by Reliance Jewels, is showcasing the variety of gold jewellery designs that are available across the country, My Bangalore reports. Amritsari jadau and Kundan jewellery are among the types on offer at the event, with pieces for occasions such as parties, weddings and daily wear being displayed. "The Grand Necklace Festival at Reliance Jewels is the perfect platform for us to showcase our wide range and stunning collection of exclusive necklace sets," vice-president and business head of Reliance Jewels Ashok Kaul told the news source. He added that items suited to all budgets and occasions are included in the display. Earlier this month expert Ellen Sideri told the National Jeweler that US buyers are increasing their purchases of Indian jewellery made from the precious metal, as their interest in the country's culture and traditions is growing.
