Tuesday, 30th June 2009 (1316 views) A ring worth more than 4,000 United Arab Emirates dirham (£660) has been won by a man in Dubai.Pure Gold Jewellers announced that 29-year-old Indian national Praveen Agarwal received the prize through its latest promotion, Business Intelligence Middle East reports. The company is offering those making a purchase the chance to win back 65 to 100 per cent of the price and Mr Agarwal benefited when visiting a store last Friday (June 26th). According to the news source, he has bought a number of Pure Gold items in the past and picked up the ring as a gift for his sister. Karim Merchant, Pure Gold Jewellers chief executive and managing director, was quoted as saying: "We are very happy that we were able to give something back to one of our regular customers." He added that the promotion will continue until August 14th. National Jeweler recently revealed that a gold ring worth $50,000 (£30,380) had been won through a competition organised in the US by Samuels Jewelers and Rogers Jewelers.
