Friday, 24th July 2009 (726 views) Universal Live Auction is putting a selection of gold coins up for sale on July 30th, reports News-Antique.com.The sale items include a 1987 $5 US Constitution gold coin, minted in honour of the bicentenary of the establishment of the constitution. Also in the collection from the US is a $10 face-value Gold Eagle coin from 1999, which is in uncirculated condition. From elsewhere in the world, a 20-franc gold coin from France, dated to 1851, is also going under the hammer. The coin features the French motto of "Liberte Egalite Fraternite" on one side, with the Roman goddess of agriculture Ceres on the other side. News-Antique.com advises readers that the sale represents an ideal opportunity to expand an investment portfolio in gold items. Universal Live Auction holds real-time sales and requires buyers to register ahead of the event; however, absentee bids are accepted for those who cannot attend at the time of the sale itself.
