Jewellery buyers in India can get their hands on a free gold coin as part of a new campaign by retailer Tanishq.

The Free Gold Coin Offer will run until August 23rd at all of the company's outlets in Maharashtra in south-west India, Commodity Online reports.

Shoppers can pick up a coin when they purchase items from an "exquisite" range of 22-c gold jewellery, the site said.

Among the items included in the offer are diamond-studded gold pieces from the Everydays/Lightweight collection and the new Glam Gold collection, which features kundan gems and "delicate Jaipur wire work".

In addition, Tanishq is offering the coins with purchases from the "intricately designed" Aleya and Aria wedding collections.

Speaking to the site, Tanishq vice-president Sandeep Kulhalli said the gold coins offer is aimed at "rewarding our customers with greater value on their purchase".

Established in 1995, Tanishq is India's largest jewellery brand with 91 stores in 64 cities nationwide.
