Friday, 31st July 2009 (1248 views) An exhibition of work by some of India's top fashion designers is featuring gold jewellery.Organised by Designs of India, the event opened at the Taj Blue Diamond hotel in Pune today (July 31st). As well as the gold jewellery from Indian brand B'dazzled, exhibits include high-end clothing, accessories, shows, bags, artwork and sculptures from some of India's most prominent designers, according to the Indian Express. These include Nilesh Pawar, Manjari Goenka and Sonali. Anisha Hasija of Designs of India said that the purpose of the exhibition was to showcase Pune's fashion scene to celebrate the city's rapid growth of recent years. "The city certainly has the potential to be a fashion hub and we thus thought of exhibiting this collection in the city," she commented. Visitors will be able to attend the exhibition until August 3rd. Pune is India's eighth biggest city and is located in state of Maharashtra.
