Friday, 28th August 2009 (3483 views) A number of fashion magazines have confirmed the big jewellery trend for this autumn - yellow gold - in their latest editions.According to National Jeweler, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Glamour, InStyle and Elle are all running ads featuring distinctive designer metal jewellery in their latest issues. One such ad for David Yurman jewellery shows models wearing a cable chain necklace that skims the collar and a braided gold bracelet. Harper's Bazaar's editors said that the "must-have hardware" for this autumn are cuffs, such as those fashioned from gold by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga. Elle magazine, meanwhile, featured models wearing stacks of gold bangles running up to their elbows. According to Telegraph fashion director Hilary Alexander, gold statement pieces like large necklaces and oversized bangles - such as those recently shown off by Christian Lacroix and Dolce & Gabbana - are key jewellery items for the coming autumn and winter. "Cuffs and collars the key areas for visual razzle-dazzle," she says.
