Monday, 2nd November 2009 (419 views) A gallery in New York is to display a range of gold and other high-end French jewellery later this month.The Aaron Faber Gallery's second annual Jewels of France Exhibition and Trunk Show will take place between November 16th and 20th, showcasing items from designers and brands such as Marchak, Bijoux Commelin, BRM, Umane Creations and Joia. Organised in collaboration with Ubifrance and the French Trade Commission, the event will feature rare luxury pieces such as an 18-c gold Eliptica ring by Ximena Alarcon Cavrois and an 18-c gold Hippopotamus ring from Antoine Camus. "It takes a minimum ten years of study to become a master artisan of French high jewellery," said Camille Wiart, the French Trade Commission's director of business development, fashion and jewellery, according to National Jeweler. Other featured jewellery houses at the exhibition will include La Joaillerie Recreative, Sylvain Nosjean, Tess & Tasha, Veronique Bailly, Sophie Reyre and Garnazelle.
