A gold bracelet worth $1,300 (£774) has been found in a car park in America by the winner of a treasure hunt.

The hunt is part of Devon Fine Jewelry's Finders Keepers event where more than $25,000 (£14,890) of jewellery, including gold rings and pendants, has been hidden around the town of Wyckoff, New Jersey.

Peggy Diamond was the lucky winner. She told CBS Radio: "My heart's still pounding, I've never won anything."

The ten-day event is part of the store's 30th anniversary celebrations organised by the owner Nancy Schuring as a "thank you to the communities that have shown support and loyalty over the years".

White Devon bags marked with orange Finders Keepers labels will contain the prizes and each bag contains a letter explaining that the finder is allowed to keep the jewellery.

The hunt will be running until November 26th and 30 bags of treasure can be won.
